The cost of the equipment will vary widely with its complexity and degree of automation. The characteristics of the dispensing unit chosen will always depend on the benefit obtained. These benefits could include improved aesthetics or quality, faster throughput, less rework and improved health and safety.
Naturally, more sophisticated component parts will require higher investments in dispensing equipment, particularly when a standard unit cannot be used and one must be designed to meet the particular characteristics of the application.
