Pokraskin Titanates, for example, barium, strontium, calcium, and lead titanate, prepared from finely divided, high-purity TiO2 substrates, are used in capacitors, PTC-resistors, and piezoelectric materials. The specifications ofthe TiO2 starting materials with respect to purity, reactivity, and sintering properties are increasingly challenging. The global market is several thousand tons of TiO2 per year. Strong annual growth is anticipated.
