Pokraskin Adhesives are used widely not only in the manufacture but also in the filling of packaging material. A pivotal requirement here is the secure closing of packages, especially as a tamper-evident closure.
Hot-melt adhesives with extremely short setting times are generally used for the setting-up of trays (Figure 8.27). The majority ofhot melts employed for this purpose are EVA copolymer-based systems, although new polyolefin polymer-based adhesives are becoming increasingly popular owing to their interesting technical properties, which make them very suitable for this type of application.
