The main requirements of masonry paints are good water resistance, exterior durability, yellowing, dirt pick-up resistance and good adhesion to a variety of substrates.

Revacryl 602 (Harlow Chemical Co.) is an EHA/MMA colloidal polymer, 49 %nvc and with a MFFT of 5°C. China Clay and talc are cheap extenders. Ratios used depend on hiding power required. Biocide is required to improve fungal resistance.
